The puzzle packer was conceived when Darrell's wife was working on a 100 piece puzzle.  The coffee table was not big enough to hold the unassembled pieces.  So Darrell came up with a solution and as others have seen it, they also wanted one.  The Puzzle Packer has had several design changed since the original.
